Is there really a chemical that turns urine blue in a pool?

If you were some "Artsy Fartsy" philosophy film student who uses 13 letter words in the rants they write on the bathroom walls of their University washroom, you probably would say Grown Ups was a representation of the decline of the Western Civilization as we know it. Is it us or technology that has made us forget the simple things in life? I wonder if skipping rocks on the water would have been so much fun growing up if we had X-boxes and PS3's?
The Stereotypical Role- Reversal sounds like a move even Mary-Lou Retton might not be able to stick, but this movie pulls it off by creating new ways to poke fun at people and packaging it in nostalgia. Speaking of that....
My fave part of this movie was the water park. It took me back to my youth, when a couple of buddies and I were 13 and we did anything we could including running over sharp gravel just to get in line for the multi tiered white water slide behind a group of four hot 18 yr old girls wearing skimpy bikinis.
Once we were on the slide behind them, we'd crash our inner tubes into them creating a splashing dog pile and reach for anything we could to keep us afloat. I still remember the End-Zone dance my buddy did after getting a hold of the one girl's bikini top that was unable to support both my friend and her breast at the same time exposing her right there on the slide...It looked like an accident to them, but they got suspicious when we were always behind them in line to go on that particular slide....Ahh the memories...
Grown ups is just that... a funny look at the memories of our youth, and the crazy things we did growing up....

To Incredible and Beyond...

Well Toy Story really started it all didn't it? It made paying money to watch animation on a big screen as commonplace as looking both ways before crossing the street. I thought to myself when a third installment was announced..."Really??? do we need really another Toy Story...with all these NEW animations with all NEW characters coming out every other week...what STORY do these old toys have left to tell?"
The Answer? Easily one of the BEST I have seen in a long time!!!
Disney/Pixar has taken these old toys that Andy (and just about everybody else) forgot about and gave them purpose again and breathed new life into a classic franchise. I was entertained and completely lost in the ride thanks to one of the BEST music scores in recent times that drives this story through it's hills and valleys and inevitably to the top of the now massive heap of animated movies where it belongs...
I Loved It...just when I thought they couldn't make a better Toy Story, they did....

Ka-BOOM!

Ok, I  have never read a single Jonah Hex comic. I really know nothing about the characters. What  I DO know is John Malkovich NEVER disappoints, and Josh Brolin ALWAYS hits it out of the park, so no matter what the story is about, I already got my money's worth just having a chance to watch these two go at it.
Jonah Hex comes out Two Guns a Blazin' and doesn't stop!!! It is interesting how these pioneers of destruction think they are so tough with their dynamite and wonder what they would say if they saw a glimpse of the toys available today. Megan Fox saw limited screen time which surprised me, but her message is clear with just about everything she does... "She ain't much for being OWNED! " and proves in this film she can HOLD HER OWN with the best and is willing to take chances, and folks...she is just getting warmed up!
Jonah Hex did run out of ammo early, clocking only an hour and twenty three minutes. Looking online after the movie at comic covers of Hex, I can say the casting was perfect. So, although knowing nothing of the story or characters, and still coming out entertained...I declare Jonah Hex.....

Hey...You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!

The classic line in Jurassic Park..."You spent so much time wondering if you could, you didn't stop to wonder if you should!"
Splice re-visits that sentiment, and shows what could happen when Innocence is stewarded by the Arrogant and the Ignorant. This disturbing movie asks questions beyond right and wrong without uttering a word, and for such great performances,FX and high production values without the "Big Budget"This Canadian Made movie SPLICE is easily...

Forget keeping up with the Joneses,Hollywood now needs to keep up with The Smiths!!

Now everybody knows I suck at math, but I DO know if you take a Kung Fu Master, and have him play the role of a Kung Fu Master, it will add up to a MASTERPIECE! Jackie Chan delivers the best acting performance of his Career, and in my opinion "Oscar"worthy. For a few years now, the only voice of reason and common sense we've heard in the media comes out of the mouth of Dr. Phil, and now, we have Mr. Han. "Kung Fu is in Everything you do, how you treat people, how you act", and Jackie Chan has led by example as a Hero and a Mentor to millions for decades...I am one of the lucky ones who can say they had the Honor of shaking that man's hand and personally saying Thank You! (I wish Mr. Han was there in the theatre tonight to teach respect to that punk-ass "Text- er" in the row in front of me...Take out your phone! Turn it off! Put it in your pocket! Now take it out! Turn it on! Text a friend! Now turn it off! Put it back in your pocket! Now take it back out! etc. etc.)
Jaden Smith is a by-product of Family Values and Work Ethic. The triple threat of a leading role, doing All his own stunts, and then performing on the soundtrack, clearly shows the apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
Amazing locations and flawless casting of the villains...Wow the look of anger and evil in their eyes, was just like the eyes of the bullies we all went to school with.(and some of my co-workers)
I did however feel the movie started off a little shaky and found it hard to settle into the ride. kind of like when a buddy picks you up in their car and as they speed down the road you are still fumbling around searching for the seat belt but once you are buckled in,it's all good. The "Focus" could have used a little more focus!
Otherwise, a great re-imagining of a Hollywood classic, and I declare The Karate Kid...

Meeting Jackie Chan in L.A. on the set of Rush Hour 3

The isle seat is reserved for those who can't handle the Large Drink!

I PITY THE FOOL! who misses out on watching this movie on the BIG Screen! The A-Team does such a good job of capturing EVERYTHING we loved about the TV series growing up that it made me feel like no time had passed and I was watching part 2 of the season finale cliffhanger! I remember my nickname in Elementary school was Murdoch, I still don't know why cause' I didn't look anything like the Actor who played him? Anyways...
A-team was Action- Packed ,Funny and ALL HEART! Everybody in the theatre was hooting and cheering at the CLASSIC A-Team moments and it really felt good to not be the only one doing that in a movie for a change.
So without further ado, I declare The A-Team...
