Breakaway is a smart title for this film. Breaking away from old limited thinking and values can be as intense and stressful as watching a Hockey player split the defense and head alone towards a possible Breakaway goal.This movie has both.... Canada is a melting pot of Cultures and Hockey has become the common ground that all Canadians can bond with.I enjoyed the production values and comedy relief throughout. The message here goes beyond cultures and races and colors...it is more about the human condition.Every so often...a Son has to answer the call of a higher truth...and Dad is gonna have to just deal with it!
